MELISSA G. HOLLIS $30 GC GIVEAWAY ends 9/25

Now that fall is not too far away, I thought we'd get prepared with some cool knits!

Meet Melissa from Melissa G. Hollis.  Her shop carries a variety of crochet items from re-usable facial scrubs, to scarves and fingerless gloves.

Cowl Tube Scarf

What's your favorite item in your shop?
I love any item in my shop that is brightly colors :)  My favorite thing that I have designed is for sure these fingerless gloves, becuase I didn't think that I would be able to just make up a pattern and crochet fingerless gloves, but one day I just decided that I should try and it took me less than 15 minutes to figure it out.  I think they turned out fantastic.

Light Lace Long Spring/Summer Scarf
What inspired you to open up shop?
Well one day my husband was actually making a bucket list (we're only 20 but he decided he should start now since he's a little bit of a daredevil)  and so I decided that I would too.  I was thinking about that fact that I needed to work on the baby blanket that I was making for my son, and thought "How cool would it be if someday I sold something that I made?"  And so, I set out to start my shop on etsy and I guess that's what's still inspiring me.  Each time I make a sale, I am thrilled that someone, somewhere actually wants to wear something that I have made with my own two hands.

Can't wait and have to have something now?
Melissa is offering readers 15% off when you use the code GIVEAWAY15 @ checkout in her etsy store!

Michelle Chang Jewelry necklace - LOVE it! {& Giveaway!}

OMG!
I HAVE to tell you about the cutest little skull necklace I just got from Michelle Chang Jewelry!  It really is sooo adorable!  I LOVE IT!  Not into skulls?  That's okay because Michelle Chang has a TON of other adorable items you will absolutely LOVE!

Here's the box my necklace came in!  So chic!

I love that the charm is dimensional and has all the tiny, subtle, little details.  I also love that the chain goes through the charm and doesn't have bale above it.  Small details make all the difference!

It's super tiny, so it's very subtle, which I love!  Made out of Sterling Silver and about 1/4" high and comes on a super delicate chain.  I love that it's handmade and I can wear it if I'm casual or dressed up, since it's so subtle!  You have to come close to check it out and see all the cool detail!

I love how 3-Dimensonal all her pieces are.  No flat designs here - they have different levels of height and width, lending to the character of each piece.

Here's some other cool stuff I adore from her shop!!!  They're original, different and simple - THE PERFECT GIFT for the person who already has everything, but doesn't have Michelle Chang Jewelry!

Baby Elephant Ring
I love this little elephant ring and I think the puppy would make an adorable gift for a dog lover!  Or to commemorate your first pet...?
Puppy Necklace in gold and diamonds
I also really love how elegant yet organic this beautiful snow flake studs are.  Plus the sapphires in the middle give it a tiny bit of subtle sparkle.  Would make an elegant gift for anyone!

Snowflake Stud Earrings in Silver
TOO CUTE, right?  You can't find these anywhere else!  And this is just a small sampling of what she's got!  The more I look at her stuff, the more I want!  She's got a wide variety of silver and gold items!

Cheers for DeeCaffeinated wine glass tags Review {& Giveaway!}

I just received these super cute and adorable glass flower bead wine glass tags from DeeCaffeinated!  They are so adorable and so unusual compared to what you can buy in the store!

This is just how they came attached to the card!  So clever!  They are super easy to open with a simple loop and hook closure.  The work great with any size wine glass.

I got four colors - a beautiful shade of ocean blue, a wonderfully neutral cream and two great shades of green!

Close-ups of the delicate flower pattern on each bead!  So pretty and subtle!  I love it!

On my Perrier-Jouet glasses!  Don't they look great?  I think they are so elegant and don't look as cheesy as other wine glass tags!  I thought the glass beads would be a problem because they are pretty heavy compared to most wine glass tags, but they were great!

Dee's got a lot of other great things in her store like handmade jewelry and bookmarks, so check her out!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!

To celebrate the end of summer, let's meet a new etsy artist!  It's my pleasure to introduce you to Jacqueline, proprietess of ChelseaRainbow
Hi Jacqueline!  It's such a pleasure!  Tell us a little about yourself!

Blue Cloisonne beaded star earrings
My name is Jacqueline. I’m a jeweler and the owner of ChelseaRainbow. I live in New York City, one of the most vibrant urban cities of the world and also the capital of fashion. You may not be able to afford a designer dress, but you can always find my fashion forward jewelry to update your own looks and my elegant home decor accessories to enhance your home.

Trend forward stones and beads with bold colors inspire me, and I’m always thrilled to discover a new or unusual color palette. I create jewelry and home decor accessories that are accessible to both casual crafts enthusiasts and serious collectors.

Red Barrel Jasper and Coral Necklace
I make one-of-a-kind jewelry and usually I like the piece I’ve made most recently the best.  Right now I am enamored of men’s necklaces because I just finished designing a custom piece for a guy who lives in my apartment. I am inspired by the materials I find and love going to bead stores or shows and letting my creativity play with the shapes and textures I find.

Right now, Jacqueline is offering YOU a special deal!

Letter Kay Hand carved Stamp Giveaway! ends 9/11

It's my pleasure to introduce you to a shop you may not have taken a look at otherwise!  This is a great shop that includes hand carved custom stamps and vintage finds.

Kayla, please tell us a little bit about yourself and your adorable shop!

Letter Kay was opened August 6, 2010.  I've been running my shop around a year now and I love it more and more each day.  Never did I think that my stamps and other items would be as popular as they are!  I started my shop as a way to make a bit of extra money.  I love making things, always have in fact. Since opening my shop, my goals have changed a bit.  I am now working on expanding Letter Kay.  I hope to open a shop in a year or two as well as offer private art lessons and art parties.

One thing that I like to think about is giving new life to old items.  Going to estate sales, flea markets, etc. you come across a lot of abandoned items.  Some even get thrown away if they are not sold.  I love giving them a new home.  Items were much more beautiful in times past and I think they make great home decor.  For my stamps, I like to think about my customers.  What would be useful to them?  I think it is important to make letters, packages and other tiems pretty and these little stamps help that a little bit I think.  I think my favorite item in my shop would be my wedding rings stamp.  I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I do.  It is a hard decision for me to decide my favorite as I am continually getting "new" vintage items that are special in their own way.

Vintage Milk Crate
Thanks, Kayla!

Check out LetterKay to find some cool items!  I love the milk crate!  It's so industrial and functional at the same time!

Unicorn Crafts GIVEAWAY ends 9/5

Unicorn Crafts has the cutest accessories!  They are so adorable and perfect for those of us who are still young at heart =)  I know you've been looking forward to this giveaway!

Rainbow Necklace
My name is Faheema Chaudhury. I studied art at UC Berkeley and worked with and around artists for the past 4 and a half years. After the recent passing of my mother I moved back to LA and started making jewelry. What started as just a way to pass time, turned into a full-blown business.

I make jewelry and accessories for the kid and the kid at heart. I give the 70s shrinky dink a modern spin; designing the pieces in photoshop and illustrator. The designs are then printed onto (or in some cases drawn onto) the special paper, meticulously cut and then baked. After coming out the oven, they take their form as earrings, necklaces, pins and barrettes.
When I look at something and I want to explode because of how cute it is, that's what inspires me. That feeling that comes over you and makes you feel like a kid. A motto of mine is "If you look at my work and don't get a cavity from how cute it is, I didn't do my job."

Tiny Lady Toast Earrings

The Tiny White Elephants are one of my favorite items in my shop. I was using a new technique with this little guy and it worked out better than I expected. He's just the right size too. It's one of those designs that just go with every look.
