Expressions Bracelets

I've got another great shop find to share with you!

Expressions Bracelets has got a HUGE and gorgeous selection of stack elastic stretch gemstone bracelets!  I got this 'so-up-my-alley' chic lava bead with skull charm bracelet!

Came in a beautiful velvet black pouch with care care instructions

Here's a close-up of the charm and the crystal dragon ball.  Isn't it pretty?  I love the contrast of the sparkly skull and ball with the organic nature of the lava beads.

I couldn't decide which way to wear the charm, so I included a picture of both ways!  Either way, looks awesome!

It also came with a care card - which I love!  Advises against all the things you would normally do, which is great - don't we all want our things to last longer?

the beads are large and chunky!  I love it!  Here's how it looks from farther away - isn't it just the perfect combination of bling and organic?

Astrophe

FATHER'S DAY GIFT ALERT!

I found the coolest store...well, I should say stores!  It's got a little something for everyone!

Do you always have trouble finding a quirky friend or relative the perfect gift?!  Have I got the places for you!!!

I stumbled upon Astrophe on etsy and found out that Kat, the crafter behind it all, has got three other stores, too!  More about that, later!  But keep reading if you're a Harry Potter Fan or know someone who is!

Look what I found from Astrophe!
Wouldn't this be PERFECT for a little boy (or not so little) who LOVES DINOSAURS?!    It's a T-Rex skull keychain!  I thought this was so unique!  Perfect gift for the dinosaur-loving dad?

It comes in a wonderful little pouch

Here's a close-up.  It's made from plastic and is very realistic.  Great for kids (well, it IS made from a children's toy), since there are no sharp edges.  I think this would look great on a special little man's backpack!

Here's the top view where the key chain is attached.  Very secure!  Wouldn't this look adorable attached to your child's backpack?  Or on your favorite guy's keys?

At $6, this is a great find and would be perfect for a child's graduation gift (end of school is almost upon us!) or just a little something to let them know you're thinking of them!  Kat's also got other dinos, too!  And not just keychains!  Check out her dino selection!

For the Harry Potter fan
What's better than Harry Potter inspired jewelry?!

I thought this Malfoy snake necklace was creative and cool!
Very Harry Potter, but very subtle about it, too!

For people who love bones and fur or really unusual, eye catching items

For people who love buttons!

Bad Chihuahua Design

I got the coolest bracelet from the neatest little etsy shop - Bad Chihuahua Design

I know a lot of people don't like to shop international because of questionable shipping, but I highly recommend this one!

The shop is in Serbia, but shipping is only $1 and it was really fast!  I got my bracelet within a week!

I got her Selene leather bracelet in white:

Came in a gorgeous pouch!

5 rounded leather bands all slightly interwoven so that the pieces do not really separate.  The bracelet is made with pure white leather with silver curve tubes and an extender to adjust!

I think the white looks so chic against my dark clothes!  But not a problem if you don't like white!  This same bracelet comes in a variety of fabulous different colors!

Samanthaa332

Summer is just around the corner ladies and gentlemen!  I bet some of you can't wait to crack open your summer wardrobe!

What better way to accessorize your bare arms than with a beautiful bracelet ...or two...or three!

I've got another great shop to share with you!  I got this beautiful gemstone bracelet from Samanthaa332.  Yes, yes it's a skull bracelet, but she's got other beautiful things in her shop!

Here's her pretty pink packaging

And a pretty pink bag

It fits perfectly and I love how it's stretchy and oh so comfortable.  At under $20, it's within reach of every budget!

Here's a close-up of the bracelet - I love how plain the skull is in contrast to the rhinestone beads on either side of it.  The black rhinestone eyes give it just a tiny bit of bling, too!

Would make a PERFECT bracelet for a man!  In fact, I wore this to work one day and one of my male co-workers asked me where I got it and told me he had to have one.  Then he asked me if the bracelet cost over $60!

Now YOU can look like you spent a lot of money on your jewelry, too!

Beautiful Bracelets from MondayByMe

I just got another awesome bracelet to add to my skull collection.  It's from an etsy shop called Monday By Me and she's got beautifully elegant bracelets sure to please everyone!  Mother's Day is coming up...do you know a mom who loves arm candy?

This is the crystal skull and turquoise bracelet.  You can also choose turquoise and a silver colored skull, and at $18, it sooo affordable and looks sooo expensive!  You could easily spend way more for a far inferior product at a department store!

Came in a tiny little organza bag.  I love these little bags so much!  You can put a bunch of things in them and they're so light weight!

A close up of the skull - note it has crystals all over, including black crystals for the eyes!  Lots of bling and a nice contrast to the earthy, organic turquoise colored stones

So you can see the proportion and how it will look on your wrist!  LOVE it! Not too big and not too small.  I'm thinking it would look divine for the upcoming summer season..paired with a white dress and gold sandals...

Here's the back, just in case you're wondering.  Nice and smooth and very comfy.  What I love about this bracelet is that it doesn't pinch (because the stones and a great size) and it stretches, so can fit just about anyone's hand

Check out her shop!  Right now she's running a special promotion!

Buy any two bracelets and get a free one!  Who doesn't love FREE?

Wandering Laur Giveaway ends 5/13

Hi, I’m Lauren!  I live in Manhattan.  I was always an artsy kid, and that never changed as I got older.  I’ve always loved pencil drawing and painting with watercolors, as well as making all different kinds of jewelry.  My grandfather was a jeweler, so maybe it’s in my blood!  I’ve taken classes and learned to make bone-carved pendants in New Zealand, bead weaving in the American Southwest, and metalsmithing right here in New York.

In the past few years, I found myself increasingly fascinated by wire wrapping. As a way to relax and enjoy myself in free moments after coming home from my very hectic full-time job, I sat in front of the TV and made beaded jewelry using wire wrapping.  Soon I was making more than I could possibly wear, and getting so many complements on my necklaces, that I was inspired to start an Etsy shop.  I’d been an avid buyer on Etsy for years, and it seemed the perfect platform and outlet for an emerging, part-time artist.

My inspiration comes from all over- the streets of New York, the places I’ve visited and people I’ve met, glimpses of nature, saturated color, movement, and especially vintage pieces, which I love to deconstruct to create something new and evocative.  I especially love taking bits of vintage chains and antique unloved beads that I’ve discovered, and putting them together in original ways to create something new and beautiful.
My shop is named Wandering Laur because I love to travel and explore, and the cultures and places that I discover around the world influence the pieces that I create.   I studied anthropology as an undergraduate, and think that jewelry is a wonderful expression of culture and personality.  My jewelry is eclectic, whimsical, natural, and a little bit nostalgic.  I hope it makes you as happy as it has made me to create it!
