Meet Melissa from Melissa G. Hollis. Her shop carries a variety of crochet items from re-usable facial scrubs, to scarves and fingerless gloves.

What's your favorite item in your shop?

I love any item in my shop that is brightly colors :) My favorite thing that I have designed is for sure these fingerless gloves, becuase I didn't think that I would be able to just make up a pattern and crochet fingerless gloves, but one day I just decided that I should try and it took me less than 15 minutes to figure it out. I think they turned out fantastic.

What inspired you to open up shop?

Well one day my husband was actually making a bucket list (we're only 20 but he decided he should start now since he's a little bit of a daredevil) and so I decided that I would too. I was thinking about that fact that I needed to work on the baby blanket that I was making for my son, and thought "How cool would it be if someday I sold something that I made?" And so, I set out to start my shop on etsy and I guess that's what's still inspiring me. Each time I make a sale, I am thrilled that someone, somewhere actually wants to wear something that I have made with my own two hands.
